NAGAFF MMIA chairman outlines plans to revive chapter
Lagos, Sept. 2, 2026, The newly elected Chairman of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Chapter, Mr Fatai Sulaimon, has pledged to secure a befitting secretariat for members of the association.
Sulaimon made the pledge in an interview on Wednesday in Lagos, following Tuesday’s election of new executives for the chapter.
He said securing a secretariat would be his first priority, alongside addressing challenges faced by freight forwarders at the airport.
Sulaimon, who succeeded Mr Innocent Abu, expressed optimism that the new leadership would bring a new lease of life to the chapter within six months.
He said the new executives, working in unity, would address operational challenges, improve members’ welfare, and reposition the chapter to meet international standards in freight forwarding.
NAN reports that other newly elected executives of the association are: Godfrey Even,Vice Chairman; Secretary, Okoli Isitua; Assistant Secretary, Moruf Ogunbowale; Public Relations Officer, Samuel Eluma; and Treasurer, Babalola Waheed.
Others are Customs Freight Forwarders Relationship Officer (CFFRO), Adewale Adeleke; Financial Secretary, Godwin Anuo; Ethics and Discipline Officer, Moses Obioma; Inspectorate and Intelligence Officer, Oluwa Banwo; Welfare Officer, Jennifer Onwuegbuchulam; and Presidential Liaison Officer (PLO), Christian Alagbaoso.
