Lawmaker, Development Agency Partner to Ensure ODF In Enugu LG
The Member Representing Igbo Eze North State Constituency I, Hon Ejike Eze, says partnership with Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) will facilitate achievement of Open Defacation Free (ODF).
Eze, who is the Chief Whip of Enugu State House of Assembly, said this on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the General Manager CSDA, Hon Monday Diamond Ani, in Enugu.
He noted that he had placed priority on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programmes/initiatives to ensure that soon Igbo Eze North Local Government Area would be certified as Open Defacation Free (ODF).
“The visit was aimed at exploring possible areas of collaboration and partnership that would further advance development initiatives and improve the lives of the people in Igbo-Eze North Constituency I.
“We are longing for more provision of water/boreholes and public toilets to achieve ODF free initiative; and to support livelihood as well as renewable energy use,” he said.
According to him, this move was in line with my passion to attract more development to Igbo-Eze North LGA, particularly Igbo-Eze North Constituency I.

Eze commended the community development drives and initiative of Gov. Peter Mbah through the CSDA.
He commended the proactiveness of the new leadership of CSDA led by Ani, adding: “Ani has fully emulated the disruptive leadership principles of Gov. Peter Mbah.”
Responding, Ani lauded the lawmaker for the visit and for his continued support to development at the grassroots.
He said that the CSDA remained committed to partnering with stakeholders and supporting communities through sustainable development interventions that address their identified needs.
“I commend our people-loving governor, Dr Peter Mbah, for prioritising people-oriented and community-oriented projects and needs in his administration,” the CSDA boss said.
