Speaker commends Gov Mbah’s Rural Developmental drive through CSDA
The Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Ugwu, has commended Gov. Peter Mbah’s massive rural communities developmental drive through the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).
Ugwu gave the commendation when he paid a working visit to the CSDA Headed by Chief Monday Ani.
The Speaker expressed happiness on the rural communities’ development agenda of Mbah’s administration through the CSDA, describing it as “a developmental philosophy that successfully operates under the leadership mantra, “Tomorrow is Here.”
He stressed the importance of collaboration among government institutions in advancing inclusive and community-driven development that births tangible results for the people.
Ugwu commended the CSDA for its interventions and the positive impact of its programmes in rural communities across the state.
The Speaker acknowledged the proactiveness and achievements of the new General Manager of CSDA within his relatively short period in office, adding: “the Agency’s progress is commendable.”
He also urged community stakeholders, the President-Generals (PGs) and traditional rulers to consolidate their partnerships with CSDA to achieve more successful Community Development Projects (CDPs).
Responding, Ani appreciated the Speaker for the visit and for his continued support for the Agency through favourable legislation and productive collaboration with the executive arm of the state.
He reaffirmed that the CSDA remained committed to partnering with other government institutions, communities and other stakeholders and supporting communities through sustainable development interventions that address their identified needs.
“I appreciate the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, for prioritising community needs in his administration,” the CSDA boss said.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Speaker to interface with the Agency on its ongoing community development initiatives being funded by the Government of Enugu State under the able leadership of Gov. Peter Mbah.
