In 2011, Hon. Akande-Adeola made history as the first female Majority Leader of the House of Representatives—a groundbreaking achievement that solidified her place in Nigeria’s democratic journey. Her leadership was defined by diligence, strategic foresight, and a strong commitment to inclusivity, particularly in advancing the cause of women and youth.

In his congratulatory message, Ezekiel Agbomojo praised her as a symbol of courage and visionary leadership.
