Muslims have been called upon to eschew vices, lies and unethical behaviours, and to always be of good characters in the society, as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad.
The Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Sheikh AbdulGaniyu Abolore-Gazali, who made the call while delivering the Jumu’at sermon, emphasised that falsehood only lead to disgrace in this world and punishment in the hereafter.
Chief Imam Abolore-Gazali said Muslims, as vicegerents of Allah on earth, should always fear Allah in all they do, and strive to establish truth and justice wherever they find themselves.
The Grand Chief Imam advised all Citizens to always give thanks to God for His numerous blessings, adding that they should remember leaders at the helms of affairs in their prayers, for the successful steering of the Ship of State. #
