President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to a Punch report, Adeleke arrived at the Villa at exactly 5:25 p.m. on Thursday, dressed in a navy blue traditional attire and carrying a walking stick. He arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV.
The governor was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The meeting is Adeleke’s first with President Tinubu since his re-election in last Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
Adeleke’s visit comes days after Tinubu personally called to congratulate him on his victory, describing the outcome as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country.” The President also urged the governor to unite residents of Osun State irrespective of their political affiliations.
Four other officials from Osun State were also seen arriving at the Villa through the corridors at about 5:40 p.m. They include the Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Mr Sunday Bisi; the Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, Akinleye Kazeem; and the member of the House of Representatives representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Bamidele Salam.
