The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has enjoined eligible voters across the state to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to enable them vote massively for Governor Ademola Adeleke in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
In a public statement personally signed by him, Alhaji Akinleye described collection of the PVC as ”a crucial civic responsibility” of all eligible citizens, adding that it is also ” the first step toward sustaining the dividends of good governance under the administration of Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke.”
He noted that the ongoing collection of PVCs across Osun State is continuing until Friday, 7th August 2026.
Alhaji Akinleye urged everyone who recently registered for a new PVC or applied for a transfer of voter registration, to visit their designated Ward Registration Areas and other approved INEC collection centres to collect their cards within the stipulated period.
The Chief of Staff emphasized that the ”PVC remains the most powerful instrument for citizens to exercise their democratic rights and determine the future of Osun State.’:
“The progress recorded by Gov. Adeleke administration in infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance, reflects a government that truly prioritises the welfare of its people.
”These achievements deserve to be protected and consolidated through active participation in the electoral process,” he stated.
Alhaji Akinleye further appealed to youths, women, artisans, market men and women, professionals, community leaders, and all residents of the state to mobilise their families, friends, neighbours, and colleagues to collect their PVCs.
He stressed that every eligible voter ”has a responsibility to contribute to the continued growth and stability of Osun State.’:
The Chief of Staff noted that the forthcoming governorship election presented another ‘:opportunity for the people to reaffirm their support for visionary leadership, continuity of development, and the people-centred policies that have distinguished the present administration.”
Alhaji Akinleye expressed confidence that the people of Osun State ”will once again demonstrate their commitment to progress by turning out en masse to collect their PVCs and subsequently participate peacefully in the electoral process.”
He reaffirmed that the administration of Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke ”remains committed to delivering more dividends of democracy and building a greater, more prosperous Osun State for all.”
”Collect Your PVC. Mobilise Others. Protect Your Vote. Sustain Good Governance,” the CoS urged, adding:
