Abuja (Flowerbudnews) The Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisans Association of Nigeria (BACSAAN) has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint a Special Adviser on Artisan Affairs to facilitate impactiful economic empowerment for handwork practitioners across the country.
The National President of the Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisans of Nigeria (BACSAAN), Haj. Fasasi Mohammed Jamiu reiterated the call on Saturday in Abuja while speaking in an interview with FLOWERBUDNEWS at the venue of the 10th Convention and Convocation ceremony of the International Islamic Therapy Institute.

Haj Fasasi stressed that appointment of a Special Adviser from the ranks of artisans would be another commendable initiative from President Tinubu, and also a realistic way to give voice to the millions artisans across the country who are generally hardworking, but remained downtrodden.
”Appointment of a Special Adviser from among we Artisans, would boost President Tinubu’s standing with Artisans tremendously,” Fasasi said, adding; ‘:the gesture had become necessary to give the.millions of Artisans in this country a sense of belonging and care”
”There is no doubt, that this Tinubu Administration is about the best since our return to democratic rule – it has unfolded so.many commendable initiatives that are benefiting different segments of our society, but we need him to do something which will directly touch the Artisans,” the BACSAAN National Leader stated.
”Appointment of one of us as a Special Adviser to the President, would mean that Artisans are now connected directly to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, this will be seen by Artisans throughout Nigeria, as a great honour and recognition by President Tinubu,” Haj Fasasi declared.
‘:BACSAAN members, with a potential strength of about 25 million Artisans across the country, remain a formidable segment of the productive Nigerian population,” he said, adding; ”this will be a great asset for Mr. President if well cultivated and brought closer to the Commander – In – Chief.”
Fasasi disclosed that BACSAAN members avross the country included Welders, blockmolders, Tailors, carpenters, rewires, Hairdressers, furniture makers, mechanics, POP Makers, Tilers, Painters, plumbers etc.
On the colourful Convention and Convocation ceremony organised by the International Islamic Therapy Institute, the BACSAAN National Leader commended the Institute’s Provost, Sheikh Zayed for impacting the knowledge of islamic Medicine on Nigerians, especially, the youths, both male and females to make them self-employed and useful to the society.
Fasasi, whose daughter, Fatma, also graduated with 29 others at the ceremony, urged Nigerians to assist the Institution to impact more on the societ.
He noted that teaching and empowering of youths and housewives etc, in alternative islamic Medicine portended good for simplified healthcare delivery in the country.
