The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, has framed his 2027 bid as a rescue mission to reverse poor leadership, restore governance effectiveness and ease the economic hardship confronting residents.

Nakudu spoke on Sunday in Dutse while receiving a delegation of Alaramomomi and Tsangaya teachers led by Goni Mallam Ibrahim Mai Bindiga Hadejia.

He said his candidacy was driven by the need to re-engineer governance, improve living conditions and restore public confidence in the state.

Nakudu pledged an open, transparent and accountable administration, with citizens’ needs and complaints informing government policies and programmes.

He thanked the delegation for its support, promising closer collaboration with Islamic education stakeholders to advance the welfare and development of the people.

Speaking for the delegation, Goni Mai Bindiga Hadejia said they came to declare their support and allegiance to Nakudu’s candidacy, citing his policies and development agenda.

Also speaking, Hon. Ado Sani Kiri, pioneer APC chairman Jigawa state and a key ADC stakeholder, expressed confidence in the party’s prospects of securing victory in the 2027 general elections.

He urged the Alaramomomi and Tsangaya teachers to sustain prayers and mobilisation for the ADC and its candidates across all levels.
