The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Ogbomoso and District Society, has paid a congratulatory visit to the second substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede (FEDPA), Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu, FCA, following his appointment to the position.

The visit, which took place at the Rector’s office, was led by the fifth Chairman of the ICAN Ogbomoso and District Society, Mr. W. A. Ganiyu, FCA, who congratulated Dr. Adelabu and wished him a successful tenure.
Speaking during the visit, Ganiyu described the appointment as a significant development and presented gifts to Dr. Adelabu and his wife, Mrs. Tawakalitu Yetunde Adelabu, ACA.
Responding, the Rector expressed appreciation to the ICAN delegation for the congratulatory visit and gift, assuring the society of his administration’s readiness to maintain a cordial relationship and strengthen collaboration with the professional body.

Dr. Adelabu also solicited ICAN’s continued support for the institution and its students, stressing the importance of collective efforts towards achieving the Polytechnic’s academic and institutional development goals.
The Rector was accompanied by the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade; Bursar, Mr. Muftau Alao; and Acting Polytechnic Librarian, Mr. Dare Samuel Adeleke.
Earlier, the Rector welcomed the delegation and thanked the ICAN Ogbomoso and District Society for the gesture, assuring the visitors of the Polytechnic’s continued support for mutually beneficial partnerships.
The ICAN delegation included the Vice Chairman, Dr. Saheed Akande Shittu, ACA, who is also the Acting Director of Academic Planning, FEDPA; General Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Ajala, ACA, Acting Head of Budget and Expenditure Control; Assistant General Secretary, Dr. Abass Alimi, ACA; Financial Secretary, Mrs. R. O. Ajuwon, ACA; Technical Secretary, Mr. K. O. Yusuf, ACA; Ex-Officio Member, Mr. J. S. Adeyemo, ACA; Mr. S. O. Aminu, ACA, Acting Director of Quality Assurance; PRO, Mr. Alabi Toluwalogo, ACA; and Mr. Asimiyu Oyediran, Acting Director of Internal Audit and Securities.
In his closing remarks, the Registrar, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade, appreciated the ICAN delegation for the visit and the gift, expressing optimism that the relationship between the professional body and the Polytechnic would continue to grow.
