The permanent secretary of Osun State Ministry of works has alleged that the damage recorded on the LAMECO Flyover was a delibrately act of sabotage rather than structural failure.
Speaking while the affected area of the the flyover, he said the preliminary findings indicated that unidentified individual intentionally damaged component of the bridge. He described the incident as an act capable of endangering public safety and undermining government infrastructures.
According to the officials, the state Goverment has commenced an assesment of the damage and his working to ensure that the flyover is installed to safe conditions. He warned that act of vandalism and sabotage against public infrastructures would not be tolerated.
