
Folarin’s Meeting with Tinubu Boosts Lanlehin-Adedoja Reconciliation Committee.

The recent meeting between former Senate Leader, Sen. Teslim Folarin, and President Bola Tinubu has given fresh momentum to the reconciliation efforts of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primaries Reconciliation Committee headed by Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin and former Minister of Sports and Special duties, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, serving as Co-Chairman.
Party sources said the meeting has helped ease tensions among aggrieved governorship aspirants and strengthened confidence in the committee’s assignment of uniting the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The reconciliation committee was constituted by the Oyo APC leadership following the party’s governorship primary to engage all aspirants, address grievances arising from the exercise and foster unity within the party.
The committee has since held separate consultations with the governorship aspirants, urging them to place the party’s collective interest above personal ambitions, and support the party candidate, Sen. Sharafadeen Alli,
The aspirants involved in the reconciliation process are Engr. Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan, Chief Adebayo Adekola Adelabu, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Oyebode, Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje,.
Others are Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, Prince Asatola Kolawole Ashanke, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Sen. Buhari Omotayo Fatai, Dr. Bakare Ololade Usman and Dr. Ayobami Wasiu Adesina
According to party insiders, the outcome of Folarin’s meeting with President Tinubu has reassured stakeholders of the President’s commitment to a united and formidable APC in Oyo State, encouraging the aspirants to cooperate with the reconciliation committee.
The Lanlehin-Adedoja committee is expected to continue consultations with party leaders and stakeholders across the state with a view to resolving outstanding issues and presenting a united front for future elections.
Party faithful expressed optimism that the renewed reconciliation efforts would further strengthen the APC and position it for success in the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.
