Waziri Threatens Court Action, to challenge Seyi Makinde’s APM Presidential Nomination.

Dr. Waziri Ibrahim has threatened to institute legal proceedings challenging the authenticity and validity of the purported nomination of Seyi Makinde of oyo State as the Presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, APM

According to Dr. Waziri’s supporters, the executive committee that nominated Seyi Makinde was not the authentic national leadership of the party but merely a faction of the APM.

They argued that the group lacked the legal authority to conduct the party’s presidential nomination process and even faulted Makinde’s endorsement by only Oyo and Osun State factions of the party.

They further alleged that the faction did not conduct a transparent primary, contrary to the party’s constitution and democratic principles.

Dr. Waziri, a veteran politician from Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, maintained that his own aspiration enjoys the support of party members and delegates from 31 states across the federation, making his candidacy the one with the broadest national backing.

He insisted that the nomination process that produced Seyi Makinde was fundamentally flawed and does not reflect the will of the majority of APM members nationwide.

He stated that he is seeking judicial intervention to protect the integrity of the party’s constitution, uphold internal democracy, and ensure that the authentic presidential candidate of the APM emerges through a lawful and transparent process.
