Ede (FLOWERBUDNEWS): The General Assembly of All Muslims in Edeland (Ede Muslim Council), has announced a formal endorsement of Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke for re-election as Osun State Governor for a second term in office.
The Council, under the leadership of Dr. Musibaudeen Idris, announced the endorsement during its General Meeting held at the Ede Central Mosque on Thursday.
In a statement, the Council said that it arrived at decision ”after careful and holistic review of the Governor’s achievements in good governance, infrastructural development, education advancement, healthcare , and religious harmony.”
The Council said that it ”is convinced that continuity will further advance peace and development across Osun State.”
It called on “”all Muslims in Edeland to come out en masse to support Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke in the forthcoming Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, 15th August, 2026.”
”We pray that Allah (SWT) will grant Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke resounding victory in the election, so that his good and people-oriented administration can continue to progress across the length and breadth of Osun State,” the Council stated.
The Council appealed ”to all the people of Osun State to embrace peace before, during, and after the election* of Saturday, 15th August, 2026.” (FLOWERBUDNEWS)
