Oshogbo (FLOWERBUDNEWS): Artisans in Osun State have expressed support for the Economic Empowerment initiative being unfolded by IDENTICO and BACSAAN, the national umbrella body of artisans in Nigeria.
Speaking with Flowerbudnews in Oshogbo and several other locations in Osun State, the Artisans described the IDENTICO-BACSAAN unfolding Economic Empowerment opportunities as GOD-Sent.
They said that, with the direct involvement of the Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisans Association of Nigeria (BACSAAN), which is their own national body, they were convinced the collaboration would bring tremendous economic potentials to Artisans.
Mr. Johnson Oyedeji, a plumber living in Oshogbo told Flowerbudnews that he had been following the gradual cementing of the IDENTICO-BACSAAN partnership through the media and other information networks.

‘:I was so delighted when I read in the news that an operational MoU has been endorsed by our BACSAAN Leaders and the CHAMS’ -IDENTICO Management in Lagos,” Oyedeji said, adding that he had been conveying the hopeful news to other artisans around him.
”We are eagerly waiting to be educated and enlightened on how to key into the empowerment scheme,” Oyedeji said,
He appealed that: ”we, Artisans in Osun should be given high attention because we are very many, highly professional and very competent.”

Another artisan, Alfa Munir Adebayo, an electrician, commended the IDENTICO-BACSAAN unfolding Economic Empowerment initiative, appealing that BACSAAN leaders should monitor the implementation very well to ensure that only genuine members of the association, whose professional competence are known, are favoured.
Adebayo, who is based in EDE, commended the BACSAAN National President Haj Fasasi Muhammad Jamiu for his ”unrelenting efforts and sacrifices to ensure that Nigerian artisans become more respected and prosperous”.
Many other artisans interviewed, spoke in the same vein, urging that the IDENTICO-BACSAAN economic empowerment initiative should be executed with utmost sincerity and commitment to the welfare of artisans to the grassroot level.
Mr Samuel Adedeji, a POP maker also commended BACSAAN National Leaders, assuring that Artisans across Osun State, would be very happy to be active participants in the IDENTICO-BACSAAN economic empowerment scheme.
FLOWERBUDNEWS recall that the negotiations for the smooth take-off of IDENTICO-BACSAAN economic empowerment initiative was recently concluded by the two parties.
