Ede (Osun): The people of Ede have extolled the giant strides of Governor Ademola Adeleke in road infrastructure across the state, which they said would facilitate growth of businesses and open up the hinterland for development of small scale industries.
The commendation was made when the residents of the town were speaking with FLOWERBUDNEWS on the ongoing state government road projects across the state, including the long overdue dual carriage way being constructed in the town.
Flowerbudnews reports that similar road projects are currently being constructed by the Adeleke administration in several major towns in Osun state, including Oshogbo, Ilesha among others.
The people who spoke to FLOWERBUDNEWS in Ede further lauded the Governor, noting that some of the roads being constructed were federal roads which were in very bad state stated and neglected by previous administrations.
They said that it was commendable that the governor was touched by the plight of the people had resorted to constructing the road to mitigate the suffering borne by the people.
Speaking, Hon Tunji Fatoki described Governor Ademola Adeleke as a person that had interest of Osun state at heart and has constructed more than enough roads across the state, and is still constructing.
According to him: “All the interventions of Governor Adeleke in key sectors of the economy and human capital development amongst other are pointer to the fact he means well for Osun state.”
Hon. Fatoki who was a member of Executive Council of Ede North Local Government, said “the road when completed will enhance the both human and vehicular movements, boost businesses and curb the menace of erosion.”
In his own comment, the President of Federation of Ede Youth Development Association, comrade Waliyullai Afolabi extolled governor Ademola Adeleke on his youth skills initiative, which he noted would “create a bright prospect for the youths who are the leaders of tomorrow.”
He described the Governor as a prudent manager of resources, who had continued to use public fund for the transformation of the state. He reassured the Governor of the people’s total supports at all times.
Speaking further, comrade Afolabi said that Governor Adeleke,who is the Asiwaju of Ede land,
had changed governance narrative from negativity to positivity to the delight of Osun citizens both home and abroad
Also, Alhaji Babatunde Eyiowuawi commended the governor for his unwavering commitment to rural development, which he noted would enhance connectivity and access to various places like markets, social services and opportunities that were previously out of reach for rural dwellers.
He praised the governor for prioritizing the urban renewal drive, especially the road infrastructure which ”is unprecedented in the history of the state as no governor in the state had constructed more roads than the current administration.”
The renowned pharmacist lauded the Governor for turning the state around with various projects that would allow social development and reduce the vehicular and traffic bottlenecks previously experienced by the people in some of the major towns in the state.
Also, some residents who refused to mention their names (being members of another political party), praised governor Ademola led Osun state administration for doing well in all aspects of governance.
“Adeleke meant well for the people of Osun state and he is humble, we love him. We commend and identify with him for sustaining that brotherhood and relationship for the betterment of the masses.
They said; ” let’s put politics aside, we are now in the phase of development. We have to coalesce into a single force and face the challenges of underdevelopment in our state.”
Road sides traders like Alhaji Tajudeen Olaniyi, welder, pa Kamordeen Adeniyi and Madam Folashade Abimbola were not left out in making good comments about the state ‘s helmsman for his good human relationship.
They said they would remain his ardent supporters and thankful for the governor’s numerous interventions in infrastructure and the speedy handling of the projects.(Flowerbudnews)
