  • Confusion as Moyo Lawal’s alleged s3x tape leaks

Confusion as Moyo Lawal’s alleged s3x tape leaks

Fans of a popular actress, Moyo Lawal, have taken to different social media platforms to air their opinions about a video that showed her having sex with an unidentified man.

The video which went viral on Saturday showed the faces of both the actress and her partner on a bed in what seemed to be a hotel room.

Since the video surfaced on the Internet, the actress had been heavily criticised by her fans. Meanwhile, the actress has not said anything on the issue; instead posting a picture of herself on set.

Reacting to the video, a fan, John Joshua, said, “All the celebrities have leaked their nudes for more publicity and connections that we don’t know about.”

Another fan, Tina Omovo, wrote, “You celebrities are meant to be role models to your viewers (sic). You are the least person I expected that from.”

Commenting on her recent set picture, Erugo Blessing wrote, “This picture should be captioned, ‘No leaked video can bring me down’.”

Offering her words of encouragement, Sri George wrote, “Kindly do not let this disturb you. Instead, use it as a stepping stone towards higher possibilities.”

Though Lawal is known for posting controversial and sensual contents online, she had earlier stated in one of her videos that the last thing she could be ‘dragged’ online for was any kind of sex-related issue. She had said, “I have made many sacrifices and said no to so many things. People know how I am when it comes to sex matters, so the last thing one could use to drag me down is sex.”

The actress had also often claimed that despite the impression that some people had of her, she was not as ‘bad’ as they thought. She said, “Whatever it is I have done, I have not been as bad as a regular girl.”

In a surprising twist, an X account, @moyolawalofficial, purportedly belonging to the actress wrote on Saturday, “The lady in this clip is not me please stop spreading fake news. That’s not me please, stop spreading misinformation.”

However, many have stated that it is a parody account, with the actress’ authentic X account believed to be @moyolawal.

  • Gov Abiodu orders demolition of DATKEM Plaza belonging to wife of ex-gov Gbenga Daniel

Gov Abiodu orders demolition of DATKEM Plaza belonging to wife of ex-gov Gbenga Daniel

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has authorised the demolition of DATKEM Plaza, a property owned by Olufunke Daniel, the wife of former governor now senator, Gbenga Daniel.

The building, located at Folagbade Street in Ijebu Ode, was set to be commissioned at the end of this month.

Though, it was gathered that Ogun State government had issued contravention notice to contractors working on the building about three days ago.

According to the project manager, Olusegun Lawal, some of the contravention, according to the notice by government included; inadequate parking space, inadequate muster point, and inadequate airspace.

Lawal said construction of the five-story building began in 2009 with full approval from the relevant authorities.

Lawal added that “the building boasted a ground floor and mezzanine equipped with a fully-fledged banking hall, complete with bank trap doors and a CHUBB Strong Room.

Other features included a Kone Elevator installed by Kresta Laurel Ltd, brand new split air conditioners from Holomicool Nig Ltd, a 150kVA generator set, and a transformer.

The plaza also had a fire-fighting system installed by Flory Ltd, with external cladding completed by Vertex Nig Ltd. Building supervision was entrusted to qualified and certified engineers, Engr. A Lawal and Engr. Ibraheem Shonde, among others.

Speaking on the development, an aide to Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Steve Oliyide said the building was not demolished, but it was vandalized.

According to Oliyide, the vandalization, which lasted from 2am till 5am was carried out by thugs loyal to the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and were given police protection by ACP Edward Omosoyin with seven armed policemen in twenty vehicles.

Oliyide added that Town Planners refused to sign the Order of demolition because it cannot be justified.

“Dapo Abiodun was said to be in Ijebu Ode yesterday with Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila to see the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

“Town planners that were contacted say they don’t work at night and not even on Sunday. One of Dapo Abiodun’s thugs, Efele was said to be patrolling the area all through yesterday.

“The operation was led by ACP Edward Omosoyin with seven armed policemen in twenty vehicles and personally supervised the destruction.

He called the DPOs that they have a special operation by 2am. The destruction was done by thugs headed by Efele and other thugs.

“So, it is logical that Dapo Abiodun’s thugs are the one who attacked the building to enforce an illegal order and they are being protected by the Police. It is also true that the Town Planners who refused to sign the Order because the demolition cannot be justified were threatened and the one who collected a response letter from the builder has been placed on suspension.

  • NAFDAC Announces Strategic Plans to Boost Quality of Nigerian Herbal Medicines for Global Market Acceptance

NAFDAC Announces Strategic Plans to Boost Quality of Nigerian Herbal Medicines for Global Market Acceptance

    By Biola Lawal
Abuja (Flowerbudnews): The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has announced strategic plans to boost the quality of Nigerian Herbal medicines to make them acceptable on the international market.

Prof Mojisola Adeyeye made the announcement  on Friday in her message to commemorate the 2023 International Traditional Medicine Day which is celebrated on the 31st of August of every year.

This was disclosed in a statement by NAFDAC Resident Media Consultant,  Sayo Akintola, a copy of which was made available to Flowerbudnews on Sunday.

The NAFDAC Boss stressed that the strategic plans mapped out by the Agency included nationwide assessment inspection visit to the production facilities of the 614 herbal medicine producers across the country.

She noted the inspection would enable NAFDAC counsel and instruct on necessary steps to  enhance and standardise herbal medicine practice to a greater height where products would be globally acceptable and competitive in the international market.

Prof Adeyeye commended the efforts of herbal medicines manufacturers across the country for their resilience, noted with a sense of pride the foray of several herbal formulations at the clinical trial preparatory to getting approval for NAFDAC registration number.

” The Guidelines for the Good Manufacturing Practice in herbal medicine production has been prepared by the Agency”, she said, adding that the Agency is working on a series of training for the practitioners to get them accustomed to the guidelines.

According to her, officers of the Agency would thereafter commence vigorous inspections of facilities to ascertain the level of preparedness of the herbal practitioners in the business after the training.

Based on the training they will receive, she said ”we will be able to make sure that they follow the guidelines to the letter”, stressing that the Agency would pass down the knowledge of the guidelines to the over 614 herbal medicines facilities in Nigeria.

The DG explained that the facilities have been divided into zones, with the Agency staff across the federation to be deployed for the exercise. In the Southwest, our staff in Lagos, Ibadan, and Ogun will be deployed for the exercise.

Likewise, people in the North, Southsouth and other zones”, she said, noting that deploying NAFDAC staff in each zone for the job would reduce the cost on the Agency.

Prof Adeyeye disclosed that the stakeholder’s training will start with Lagos which has over 317 facilities, noting that we cant enforce the rules when we have not taught them what to do”.

She said after the training the herbal practitioners would be given about a month or two to get themselves ready before the Agency’s staff visit them for inspection,.adding that anyone who is not functioning well will either have his facility shut or placed on hold.

” In herbal production, the level of hygiene is not so high. We have been telling those facilities that we visited that they needed to do something about their filling”.

She identifies capsule filling as one aspect of their operations that has posed a big challenge. Admitting that sometimes the herbal medicines are in capsules or syrup, she said, they dont have an automated filling machine for capsules.

She noted that the manual method is not safe, warning that after December, the Agency would not register any company without the semi-automated or automated capsule filling machines.

Prof. Adeyeye stressed that a lot of people are using herbal. ” The earlier we raise our standard the better for us”.

She disclosed that the University of Lagos is trying to establish a manufacturing facility so that all the herbal practitioners who dont have funds can go there and use the facility for production at a token.

Giving an insight into the GMP guidelines, Prof Adeyeye said It will help the practitioners to know how to run their manufacturing plant, adding that the guideline talks about personnel, qualifications of the personnel amongst others.

” Herbal manufacturing GMP requires that the personnel be qualified, and the building be constructed to specific standards.

The floor, walls, and roof must be clean, smooth, and impervious to moisture. All these are required to make contamination impossible.”

Prof Adeyeye said that the guidelines emphasized the need for hygiene, adding that the guidelines also talk about the premises. How the premises should be, insisting that “we want a building that will make contamination impossible”.

She said the inspectors from the Agency would be concerned about how the equipment is placed to avoid cross-contamination because in manufacturing, personnel are the greatest agents of contamination to products.

”The machines should be well placed to allow free flow of movement of staff. It also talks about the Stores, where the raw materials are kept in such a way that contamination should be avoided.

”The production flow and the finished products. We will find out how they source and store their raw materials and finished products’’.

The NAFDAC boss, however, expressed delight that three herbal product manufacturers are being awaited to conclude the clinical trial.

She disclosed that the three products piloted phases one and two, adding that they are still being awaited to come back and validate their claims with a larger population sample size.

”We encourage the practitioners to present the pilot study results and we will evaluate and if satisfactory, they can move on to the larger study and later grant approval for full registration”, she said.

Prof Adeyeye stressed that people reacted differently to different drugs, hence the need for a larger number of samples for the study in the larger phase 3 study of the clinical trial. (Flowerbudnews)

The Office of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has denied any plan by the minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, to in invite the nation’s anti-graft agencies to investigate his predecessor, Malam Muhammad Bello.

The Director of Press, Mr Anthony Ogunleye, made the rebuttal in a statement in Abuja on Saturday.

Ogunleye said that the rebuttal was in response to a claim by an online media platform that Wike plans to invite EFCC and ICPC to investigate Bello.

He said that the false media publication alleged that Bello would be investigated for alleged irregularities in the award of contracts and other matters.

“We categorically and unequivocally state that these reports are entirely baseless and without any merit whatsoever.

“The FCT minister, during his routine inspections of various projects within the FCT, has indeed expressed concerns and frustrations regarding irregularities observed in the procurement and execution of certain projects, amongst other observations.

“However, at no point did he contemplate or authorize any action by anyone within or outside the FCT Administration to invite the EFCC or ICPC to investigate the former FCT minister in connection with these or any other matters.

“The online story in question is nothing more than a product of the imagination of its authors and is clearly designed to mischievously sow discord and confusion among the general public,” the director said.

“We, hereby, advise the public to disregard the story in its entirety, as it is nothing but a deliberate attempt to spread fake news and create unnecessary tensions.

“Wike remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability in the discharge of his duties and remains committed to building the FCT of our collective dreams,” Ogunleye said. (NAN)
