BACSAAN Partners IT Firm, CENTURY INFORMATION SYSTEMS (CIS), to Broaden Nigerian Artisans’ Access to Funding Support

Abuja (FLOWERBUDNEWS): A leading Nigerian Infor-Tech Firm, Century Information Systems, has entered into partnership with the Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisans Association of Nigeria (BACSAAN) to ease access to funding and economic empowerment by Nigerian Artisans.

Flowerbudnews reports that, a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), which was signed by the two parties on Monday in Abuja, detailed several economic empowerment benefits expected to unfold for Nigerian artisans through the BACSAAN-CENTURY collaboration.

Dr. Balarabe AbdulAzeez, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Century Information Systems, signed the agreement for the firm, while BACSAAN National President, Haj Fasasi Muhammad Jamiu endorsed for the artisans.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Dr. Balarabe noted the importance of artisans to the growth and well-being of the Nigerian nation, stressing that with all necessary support, the artisans can form the bedrock of a new middle class in the country.

He assured that his firm would do its utmost to ensure the success of the partnership, so that the millions of artisans in the country can benefit and improve their economic well-being through the BACSAAN -CENTURY economic collaboration.

Dr. Balarabe said that his firm appreciated the confidence which the BACSAAN leaders reposed in them by partnering with CENTURY Information Systems to improve the fortune of Nigerian Artisans.

Speaking earlier during the signing ceremony, BACSAAN National Leader, Haj. Fasasi, disclosed that potential members of the association is currently about 25 million Artisans. The figure, he stated, was based on a mobilisation survey conducted by the association in all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Fasasi said that the BACSAAN leadership was prepared to embark on an immediate enlightenment and mobilisation visits to Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to get the Artisans to quickly key-in to the BACSAAN-CENTURY artisan economic empowerment opportunity.

The BACSAAN Leader urged Dr. Balarabe and his firm to be committed to the full implementation of the various opportunities outlined in the partnership agreement.

” Nigerian artisans and their families will never forget this your compassionate gesture to help them break the shackles of poverty, deprivation and backwardness,’: Fasasi assured.

He used the occasion to also commend the increasing efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to empower artisans, but noted that government alone cannot do all the work, and should be assisted and complemented by private sector gestures as being unfolded by CENTURY INFORMATION SYSTEMS.

Also speaking at the signing ceremony, BACSAAN National Director of Operations,
Haj. Isiaq Robiu commended Dr Balarabe AbdulAzeez for his company’s desire to help Nigerian artisans.

”We look forward to the intensification of our partnership for the betterment of Artisans across the country,” Robiu stated.

BACSAAN is the national umbrella body for all Artisans in Nigeria with teeming members across the country.

BACSAAN members include Iron Benders, Tilers, Bricklayers, POP Makers, Welders, Electricians, Tailors, Shoe makers, Carpenters, Aluminium Fabricators, Motor Mechanics, Vulcanisers, Rewires, Hairdressers and Beauticians among other handwork professionals.(FLOWERBUDNEWS)
