The Ede born Engineers Association felicitates with the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke the Otunba of Ede Land, on his re-election in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
We commend the electorate of Osun State particularly the good people of Ede and its environ for a peaceful poll and for entrusting the mandate of governance to your administration for another term. This outcome places a responsibility on government to translate public trust into tangible, functional infrastructure.
As a body of professional engineers, our interest is in how policy becomes steel, concrete, power lines, and water networks that serve communities. We acknowledge the progress made in the last term on roads, schools, and health facilities, and we see room to scale up technical delivery in this new tenure. Our call is simple: design to standard, build to last, and maintain to serve.
We therefore urge Your Excellency to institutionalize the use of competent indigenous engineering firms and contractors for state projects. Local technical capacity must be the backbone of Osun’s development agenda. It will retain skills, grow jobs, and keep value within the state economy. In the same breath, we ask that procurement be tied to strict quality control. Every project must pass independent design review, materials testing, site supervision, and post-completion audits. Infrastructure should not be measured by how fast it is commissioned, but by how long it performs.
The task ahead requires collaboration between government, the private sector, and professional bodies like ours. We pledge the Association’s expertise in design vetting, project monitoring, and capacity building to support the delivery of durable and cost-effective public works.
We wish Your Excellency wisdom, good health, and a productive second term in service to the people of Osun State.
