Abuja (FLOWERBUDNEWS): The Federal Ministry of Housing, Lands and Urban Development (FMHUD) is set to hold a high-stake workshop on Housing as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to enhance investment, development and sustain high standard in the nation’s built environment.
FLOWERBUDNEWS reports that, the workshop, which is specifically on National Housing Data Programme and Regulation of the Built Environment, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, July 28 in Abuja.
‘:The Workshop is aimed at bringing together, key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s Housing data Ecosystem and enhancing the regulatory framework governing the Built Environment,” an invitation memo on the workshop sighted by Flowerbudnews stated.
The Director/Head of Department,
Public Building and Housing Development,
of the Ministry, QS Pemi Temitope, said in the invitation that discussions at the forum ”will focus on promoting data-driven policy formulation, improving inter-agency collaboration, advancing digital innovation in the housing sector.”
QS Temitope said that the workshop would also discuss how to foster sustainable standards and regulatory compliance within the Built Environment.
‘:The workshop will also provide platform for participants to share experiences, examine emerging challenges, and develop practical recommendations to support the implementation of the National Housing Data Programme,” he stated.
The participants would also discuss how to ”strengthen governance in the Housing and Urban Development sector in line with the established standards and best practices.”
On the overall, QS Temitope said that the workshop ”is aimed at producing validated National Housing Data Framework and strengthening the regulatory framework for the built environment.’:
