Consensus Wins as Oyo APC Installs New State Executive.

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced new State Executive, as

Former Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, the new State Chairman.

 

The announcement was made at the party’s State Congress held at the Liberty Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan, presided over by Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle.

 

Speaking at the event, Oyo State Renewed Hope Ambassador, Hon. Teslim Folarin; the lawmakers representing Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, Hon. Aderemi Oseni and Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal, Hon. Akin Alabim, said the party adopted a consensus arrangement to produce its state executive.

 

They described the move as a testament to fairness, equity and inclusiveness, following the ward and local government congresses.

 



‎”Before we started the congresses, we leaders met and we agreed on two things – One, that we would allow leaders to emerge organically, and I want to commend all the leaders for respecting that.

 

“ We also agreed that we would not interfere with the results and also that we’ve done,” Teslim said

‎”Today is the conclusion of the whole programme, as far as the state is concerned, today is our state congress, now you can see that our wards and Local government congresses went peacefully.

 

“Today again, you could see that no crisis, nobody knows that we are even doing congress, because that is the product of what we call consensus arrangement,” Oseni  said



‎”This time around you can see that the party is united, all tendencies are together, that can only mean one thing, we are going into 2027 united, with full force and we are going to win,” Alabi stated.

Meanwhile, the reappointed Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Olawale  Sadare noted that unity, love and focus had been restored within the party.

“What happened here today is an eloquent testimony to the fact that our party has returned to the path of peace, harmony and tranquility,” Sadare said

 

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, described the congress peaceful and brief, drew leaders, former and serving public office holders, and party members from all 33 local government areas of the state.(NAN)
