The Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Dr. Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, on Thursday received the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, during a courtesy visit in Abuja.
The meeting centred on deepening institutional collaboration and advancing strategic dialogue on maritime operations and security across Nigeria’s coastal and inland waterways.
Both leaders emphasised the importance of coordinated inter-agency action to enhance maritime safety, strengthen surveillance and enforcement capacity, and safeguard critical national assets within the marine domain.
The engagement underscores the shared commitment of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy and the Nigeria Police Force to reinforce security, stability, and sustainable development in the nation’s maritime sector.
