Renowned businessman and father of Afrobeats star Davido, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, has called for the arrest and prosecution of controversial social media commentator Kemi Olunloyo, accusing her of impersonating a minor and spreading falsehoods about his family.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday attended by FTN, Dr Adeleke dismissed claims of a teenage girl claiming to be the daughter of his son, describing the allegations as baseless, malicious, and deeply offensive.
According to him, Olunloyo allegedly created social media accounts using the name of a young girl to push what he described as a fabricated narrative, falsely claiming to be a close friend of his late wife.
“She says she was my wife’s best friend. How can that be? I never met her,” Adeleke said.
He recounted personal details surrounding Davido’s birth on November 21, 1992, stressing that he personally drove his wife to the hospital and handled medical arrangements.
“People are gullible. Accepting a child that is not his own is annoying,” he added.
Dr Adeleke revealed that DNA tests had been conducted at the same accredited laboratory used for other verified Adeleke family tests, including those of Davido’s late son, Ifeanyi, and his daughter, Aanu.
He stated that the result showed a 0.00 per cent match, conclusively excluding Davido as the child’s father.
“The DNA profile is clear. DNA will not change even if it is done ten times,” he said, adding that the test was also suitable for international documentation, including passport applications.
He further alleged that Olunloyo was receiving psychiatric care, citing claims from her family, and warned that legal action may follow.
“She belongs in prison. She is lying and impersonating a minor,” Adeleke stated.
Despite the controversy, he said he would have gladly embraced the child if the claim were true. “If this child were truly my grandchild, I would spoil her silly,” he said, adding that he had no issue supporting education for children genuinely connected to his family.
