The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) has announced the commencement of admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The announcement follows the successful Resource Verification Exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC), after which approval was granted for the University to run thirty (30) academic programmes across six (6) colleges. With this approval, FUNATO is set to admit its pioneer set of students.

According to the Management, the newly established Federal University is strategically designed to promote academic excellence, advance cutting-edge research, and drive technological innovation. FUNATO aims to produce highly skilled graduates in agriculture, engineering, environmental sciences, computing, and allied disciplines, equipped with practical competence and the capacity to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The University Management noted that details of the admission procedure, screening requirements, and application guidelines will be released soon through FUNATO’s official communication platforms. Prospective candidates, parents, and guardians are advised to stay updated for further directives.

Important Notice
The University emphasized that only programmes approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the 2025/2026 academic session will be offered. At present, FUNATO does not run part-time programmes.
