Awo (EDE, Osun), FLOWERBUDNEWS :  It was happy moments for the people of Ede Federal Constituency as Hon Bamidele Salami representing the district at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, distributed empowerment items worth several millions of naira across the four Local Government Areas.

While speaking during the distribution, Hon. Salami said that the gesture was part of the measures of giving back to the society for the love and solidarity he had enjoyed from them.

He said the items distributed which routine would go a long way in alleviating the current economic hardship in the country.

Hon. Salami stressed : ” Nigerians were going through a tough time,” adding that the palliative were not only for party members as mechanics, Tailors, artisans as indigenes and non – indigenes were fully involved.

He specifically thanked Governor Ademola Adeleke for his unwavering support which has given hope to resilient people in the state.

He urged the beneficiaries to always give their maximum support and cooperation to the administration of senator Ademola Adeleke in providing dividends of democracy, especially to the people at the grassroots.

He acknowledged the contributions of the women fold for their steadfastness in sustaining the micro finance credit known as AJOJE by holding on to the laid down rules and regulations even if it was to step on toes.

Hon Sallam noted that the AJOJE MICRO FINANCE which was established five years ago with a very small amount, can now boost #40 Millions as their Capital of which #100,000 was given to an applicant in need to stabilize their businesses.

Earlier, the coordinators of the AJOJE MICRO FINANCE in the four Local governments, commended the facilitator for his enthusiasm in deeming it fit to create an impactful intervention like that in this situation of polarisation through economic meltdown.

According to them : “The Scheme does not only help us to be self reliant in our day to day businesses but completely safe us from embarrassment and unfriendly attitudes of other micro credit financial schemes, eg: NAPO.

In alleviating their fears, Rep Sallam assured them of his total support morally and financially by announce that each Local government would be rainbursed with another #10 millions Naira and the Capital now stands at #80, millions Naira.

He also instructed the AJOJE management team to immediately return the money paid back by the family of a beneficiary who is now a deceased from Ejigbo Local government for being patriotic about the tennect of the scheme.

Highlights of the occasion was a symbolic presentation of items such as Deep Freezers; Refrigerators, Tiles Machines, grinding machines, Generators, Industrial &Sew Machines and Shoes marking machines.

Today’s sharing of the items was the last in a three day program that trailed the distributions of materials such as reading books & notes with the commissioning of blocks of classrooms in each of the four Local governments in lawmaker’ s constituency.

Apart from that, 1300 students of tertiary institutions who were carefully and tactically selected across the 42 wards Ede/ Ejigbo/Egbedore federal constituency given #100,000 each in continuation of their education.

Speaking at the occasion, the majority leader of Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Babajide Kofoworola appreciated Rep Sallam for facilitating such a huge intervention to his constituency.

“It’s my singular honour and privilege to stand here overseer the presentation of empowerment items to beneficiaries. This is not the first time Hon Bamidele is distributing empowerment and this can not be emphasized.

Hon Dhikrlullai Olayiwola who spoke on behalf of local get party chairmen, commended the facilitator.
