Gov. Adeleke’s MEGA PROJECTS, a Source of Pride, Immense Benefits to Osun People – Commissioner

Oshogbo (FLOWERBUDNEWS) The ongoing MEGA PROJECTS of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Administration will be a source of pride and immense benefits to the people of Osun State, Hon. B. T. Salami, the State Commissioner for Special Duties has reiterated.

Hon. Salami gave the assurance
on Friday in Oshogbo during an interactive meeting with stakeholders engaged in the execution of the MEGA PROJECTS sited by the Gov. Adeleke administration in several towns across the state

The Honourable Commissioner said that the interactive meeting was conveyed to appraise the work done, listen to observations and suggestions to ensure that the good work done so far, is sustained leading to timely and quality completion of the projects.

FLOWERBUDNEWS reports that Osun state government currently has several ongoing Flagship projects of Dual Carriage way, Flyover Bridges and Inter-State Highways in several towns of the state, including Ile-Ife and Oshogbo among others.

It was also learnt that the engagement with the stakeholders was part of the strategies being adopted by the state government to achieve Governor Ademola Adeleke’s desire of ensuring that the MEGA PROJECTS were of international standard as obtainable anywhere in the world.

Hon. Bashir Tokunbo Salami also expressed appreciation of the State Government for the cooperation and support of the stakeholders for the projects, adding that the tough supervisory technics adopted by the government’s Project Monitoring Teamwere intended for good.

The Commissioner said that everyone involved in the conception and execution of the projects, including the contractors, would feel a sense of fulfilment and happiness when the projects were completed and benefiting the people.

Also speaking at the stakeholders’ meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Bashir Bello urged the stakeholders to sustain the current high tempo of work on the construction sites.

”We have only about four weeks left,” the Permanent Secretary reminded the stakeholders, stressing the need to ensure that the projects were completed as scheduled.

The State Government Consultant on the projects, Engr. Lawal advised the stakeholders not to conduct any technical test without the involvement of the consultant to guarantee the continuous high quality of the job being done.

The interactive parley was attended by stakeholders handling the various projects including Engineers from ENGINEC INTEGRATED ENGINEERING LTD, M/s SAMMYA Nigeria Limited and A’skorj Nigeria Limited among others.

The meeting was also attended by Engineers from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, including Engr. Maruf Ojebode, the Director of Highways. (FLOWERBUDNEWS))
