A UK-based organization, Piller Of Peace International,on Saturday, honoured the Publisher of The Reporters, Alhaji Dada Ahmed and other prominent Nigerians with “The Golden Award of Honor Tagged Pillars of Peace”,for their service for the upliftment of humanity and societal development.

In a colourful event which took place at the hall of the Federal College of Education, Okene Kogi State the organization said, it honoured the publisher with the award for his “Artistic Achievements: Character Formation and Intellectual Acumen.”
Other recepients of the international award are the Ohi of Okene, Dr.Isa Mamman Okatahi,a member in the kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Bola Boro and one time,Chairman, Nigeria Union Journalists NUJ, kogi State Council, Chief Bola Boro and other members of the society.

Speaking at the occasion, the Ohi of Okene, thanked the organization for the honor done to him and other recepients of the award.
Audience.He commended Pillar of Peace International for liberalizing the award across the adherents of the two predominant religions in the.
The Ohi, who noted that Pillar of Peace International, though Christianity incline,yet carried along Muslims in its award ceremony, called on the people to eschew religious inclinations in the collective effort to develop the country.
According to the traditional ruler, the seeming differences in Christianity and Islam notwithstanding, the two religions share the core value which centres on peace and love.
He commended the Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the prompt payment of workers’ salaries and ensuring the implementation of other result -oriented policies and programmes for the welfare of the people of the state.
Other highlights at the occasion were the ordination of Bishop Samuel Sule as Archbishop of Zion Chapel International,Okene, consecration of Bishops, other religions leaders and award of honorary of doctors, and honorary professors on individuals that have made meaningful impact in the life of the people and societal development.
Responding, the publisher thanked the organization, assuring that the award would spur him to do more for the development of humanity and the society in general.
The publisher responded by thanking the organization and assured them that the award would inspire him to contribute even more to the advancement of humanity and society as a whole.
