The naira depreciated against the dollar at the official market (NAFEM) to N1,490 on Monday.
This was against the N1,485 to the dollar it closed at the segment on Friday.
The currency had been relatively stable around N1,470 and N1,480 to the dollar in the segment since the beginning of June.
The exchange rate was around N1,495 to the dollar at the parallel market in Lagos on Monday. (GBN)
