  • Do Palestinian Lives Matter – Fani Kayode

Do Palestinian Lives Matter – Fani Kayode

    By Fani Kayode

(Flowerbudnews):  35,000 innocent & defenceless Palestinians, including 15000 children, have been targetted & killed in #Gaza by Israel over the last 6 months yet it was only after 7 western aid workers of the #WorldCentralKitchen were tragically & callously targetted & murdered in cold blood by the @IDF last week that western Governments & the Western media are beginning to recognise the fact that the Jewish state has turned into a monstrous & uncontrollable beast.

    This begs the following questions.

Does blood not flow through the veins of Arabs & Muslims in the same way that it flows through the veins of westerners & Christians?

Is the blood of westerners redder  than the blood of #Arabs?

    Do Palestinian lives not matter?

Are American, British, Australian & French lives more precious than the lives of Palestinian men, women & children?

How can one explain or wish away this glaring display of emotional selectivity, hypocrisy & double standards?

Is it not racism in its most glaring & ugly form?

Is this not a case of psychological apartheid in motion & have the leaders of the West not developed a classic sociopathic & psychopathic disposition when it comes to the suffering of the Palestinians.

Even after 75 years of barbarous servitude & occupation followed by the mass murder & genocide that we are witnessing in Gaza today few notable western leaders give a damn & most of them have not only turned a blind eye to it but are also willing partners & complicit in the most graphic & barbaric expression of man’s inhumanity to man & sheer wickedness since the Nazi holocaust of World War 11.

Given this all-embracing endorsement & unconditional support that they enjoy is it any wonder that the #Zionists believe that they have the divine right to give life & take it at will & at their pleasure?

Is it any wonder that the Jewish state believes that it can get away with mass murder & ethnic cleansing?

Is it any wonder that the Zionists believe that they are divine beings with a divine purpose, the master race, God’s chosen people?

Is it any wonder that they believe that they are totally & completely above the law & untouchable given the unconditional support & tacit approval that they enjoy from #NATO & the powers that be in the west?

Over the last six months western leaders have applauded Israel for slaughtering the Palestinians & destroying all their infrastructures yet they only started questioning their devilish collusion with what can only be decribed as unadulterated evil when seven of their own citizens who were doing charity work & helping to feed the starved & beleaguered children of Gaza were also butchered in a hail of precision rockets that brutally cut them down one after the other.

These same people did not shed a tear or say a word when Israeli jets mowed down hundreds of Palestinian civilians as they tried to grab food from aid trucks that came in from Egypt.

To them that did not matter & neither did they view it as an atrocity or describe it as a war crime or a crime against humanity because those that were murdered were “mainly Muslims & only Arabs”.

Is this fair? Can it be justified or defended?

Is it not a perfidious display of double speak, double standards & devilry?

Is it not a gratuitous insult to our collective humanity & a monumental shame?

Are Arabs, Africans, Asians & the people of the “global South” not human beings too?

Again for the last few months western leaders stuck to their oars & stubbornly refused to acknowledge the fact that Israeli Prime Minister @netanyahu is a wild & rabid dog that cannot be controlled & that no longer listens to its master.

They refused to accept the fact that he had become the proverbial falcon that was no longer prepared to listen to the falconer.

…They refused to recognise the fact that the genocide in Gaza was not about religion but rather about the implementation of an insidious, sinister, religious & racist agenda & an unconciable attempt by a horrendous & deluded horde of callous, bitter & vengeful Zionist barbarians to decimate, displace & exterminate the #Palestinian people & steal their land.

So drunk are @netanyahu & those around him on the blood of Palestinian children that not even American President @JoeBiden, their biggest & greatest friend & ally, can control them.

Will the Zionists ever accept the fact that killing women, children, refugees, journalists, clerics, doctors, nurses, hospital workers, United Nations staff, the elderly, the disabled, the mentally challenged, the weak & other innocent & defenceless civilians in the name of world Jewry & the Israeli state is not only unacceptable but also an abomination & an affront to our collective humanity.

They say when a dog loses its mind & not only refuses to listen to its master but also turns on him & attempts to bite him one is constrained to put a bullet in its head & put it out of its misery.

Perhaps the same solution should be applied to the Zionist state.

Perhaps it is time for it to be put down like a sick, dangerous & rabid old dog & removed from the face of the earth.

I have said it before & I will say it again: in light of the events of the last six months Israel has lost her right to exist.

And if calling out Israel for the atrocities they are committing in Gaza & insisting on an immediate & unconditional ceasefire makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

As a matter of fact it is a badge & label that I would wear proudly.

I do not believe that it is acceptable for the Jewish state to consistently break international humanitarian law & commit war crimes. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that aid workers & journalists should be targetted & killed. If that makes me anti-Semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that it is right for Bibi Netanyahu to smirk & grin on national television as he tells the world how the 7 western aid workers were targetted & murdered in Gaza by his army. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that it is right & proper for the #Iranian Embassy in #Damascus should be targetted & bombed by the Israeli Defence Force or that senior Iranian military commanders that were staying there should be murdered in cold blood. If that makes me anti-Semitic then so be it.

I do not think it is acceptable for Israel to bomb the city of #Allepo in Syria & kill 42 people including defenceless civilians. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that the Jews have a licence from God to kill innocent & defenceless civilians. If that makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that it is right for the western nations to continue to supply arms to #Israel & to be complicit in & enabler of genocide. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that the Jews are the master race that have been specially chosen above others by God. If that makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that Christians & Muslims will burn in hell or that the Prophet of Islam & our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ were fake. If that makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that saying “Christ is King” is a crime. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that our Lord & Saviour #Jesus Christ was a liar & charlatan who is now boiling in human excrement in hell. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that demolishing the #AlAqsaMosque, sacrificing three red heifers where it presently stands & building the third Jewish Temple on exactly the same spot is just, right & proper. If that makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

…I do not believe that Israel should exert so much influence over the affairs of America, the western democracies, International politics, world banking & finance & the Western media. If that makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that an attack on Israel, no matter how horrific, gives the Jewish state the right to wipe out, exterminate or drive into the desert or the sea the entire Palestinian race or kill every man, woman & child in Gaza. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that Zionism is of God & I consider the Zionists to be far worse & more insidious, cruel & unrelenting than Hitler’s Nazis. If that makes me anti-semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that @RealCandaceO should have been fired from the @realDailyWire for criticising Israel & I do not believe that @benshapiro Shapiro & @RabbiShmuley are human beings. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that Netanyahu is sane & I do not believe that he is acting in the best interest of the Jews or Israel. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that South Africa & Ireland have done anything wrong by taking Israel to the Intermational Court of Justice for crimes against humanity, war crimes, ethnic cleansing & genocide. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that it is right for Israel to prevent food supplies from going into Gaza & for starving the people to death. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe that ALL MUSLIM countries should unite against Israel but rather I believe that ALL countries, whether Muslim, Christian, Hindu or anything else should unite against Israel. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

I do not believe in ethnic cleansing & the elimination & extermination of an entire race of people as a formula for the resolution of international disputes & I wholeheartedly condemn the holocaust that is being inflicted on the people of Gaza. If that makes me  anti semitic so be it.

Finally I no longer believe that Israel  has the right to exist & I believe that they forfeited that right when they chose to bathe in the blood of Palestinian women, drink the blood of Palestinian children & butcher the Palestinian people. If that makes me anti semitic then so be it.

75 years ago God in His infinite mercy & wisdom gave the Jews a new beginning, a new country & restored them to their former glory.

This was a blessing but they squandered it by orchestrating the  #Nakba, by refusing to share the land & live in peace with the Palestinians that they met there & by refusing to desist from treating them like animals, occupying their land & slaughtering them with impunity.

Sadly with their own hands they destroyed the great opportunity that God gave them & instead chose to visit the same unadulterated evil that the German #Nazis once visited on them on the Palestinians.

If the truth be told, contrary to popular opinion, Israel is not a democracy but rather a vicious, heartless, bloodthirsty, parasitic, vampiric & blood-lusting apartheid state that applies one set of laws to the European Jewish colonial settlers that own & run it & another to everyone else.

To be an Arab, a Muslim or a Christian in Israel is hell & to be any of the above living in either Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq or anywhere else in the Middle East means that you could well be subjected to genocide, ethnic cleansing or mass murder by the Jewish state whenever they deem it fit.

It is for this reason that the entire civilised world is enraged with Israel  & that every right-thinking person expresses the following words from the inner recesses of their souls & with every fiber of their being.

They proudly proclaim, “FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA, PALESTINE WILL BE FREE!”

And despite the double standards of the leaders of the western democracies, so it shall be to the glory of the Living God!

The Director General of RAFEF, Amb. Jonathan Okwudiri, made this known on Sunday during the inauguration of South-East Region Executive Working Committee of the Foundation in Enugu.

Okwudiri noted that to galvanise resources for the nationwide empowerment for women and youths, the foundation would be advocating to and partnering the governments of 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and 774 council areas, where the foundation members operate.

He said that the foundation want to be the voice to millions of voiceless women and youths in the country who needed to be heard and given a sound hope of a better tomorrow and a prosperous life.

“It is very interesting to note that women and youth are the backbone of any nation though it is quite unfortunate and very alarming that the women and youth are mostly neglected in the workspace of Nigeria today.

“From our static, it is proven that women and youth of our nation are been used and dumped, and mostly not carried along for the positive impact on our society and governmental maximization.

“This has made most of the women and youth lost their focus, talents, skills, potentials and ending up on the streets and become touts and hooligans and in the process lose their lives without fulfillment of their primary assignment on earth.

“RAFEF Foundation has come to serve humanity as a sign of hope, new beginning, transforming wealth, power, importance, fairness, impartiality and transmitting wisdom and authority to women and youth of our society,” he said.

He said that the foundation had kicked-off its correctional service advocacy nationwide by first visiting Afikpo Custodial Centre in Ebonyi to ensuring that inmates with minor offences, those requiring legal representation and little fines to pay are released.

    .

“We have written to the controllers of corrections in Enugu and Anambra States that we are visiting to see how we can assist inmates regain their freedom and package them with gainful skills to support societal growth,” he said.

Okwudiri noted that the foundation was going all out to train youths on modern digital skills, create entrepreneur opportunity and ensuring sound and holistic empowerment through skill or educational attainment.

“Our empowerment package will be holistic and total, in that if we set out for skill training, we must give the trainee a good starter package at the end, while for education will take the personnel to higher institution level,” he said.

On the newly-inaugurated South-East Region Executive Working Committee of the Foundation, Okwudiri urged them to brace-up for advocacy nationwide, adding that there was a need to get the support and buy-in of both the leaders and led on RAFEF project.

“There is much ground to cover, many people to meet both internationally and locally on the massive educational and digital skill empowerment of RAFEF so that we can pool resources to lift our people out of poverty, lack and hunger,” he said.

In a goodwill message, Controller of Corrections in Enugu State, Mr Nicholas Obiako, said that the correctional service would partner with RAFEF foundation since the mandate of both organizations are similar and can complement each other.

Obiako, represented by CSC Hilary Chukwu, called on the foundation to partner with the correctional service in providing training materials/equipment in skill workshops in custodial centres and help with starter-packs for inmates trained, rehabilitated and released.

In a welcome address, Hon. Ngozi Chukwudimma, Zonal Director of RAFEF South-East, said that repositioning youths and women through skills and other forms of empowerment would go a very long way to reducing crime and criminality as well.

Highpoint of the event was honourary awards given to distinguished groups and individuals that have supported humanitarian and empowerment projects within the South-East states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States.

  • PRESIDENT TINUBU: NIGERIA’S FIRST NAME IS SPIRIT, THE LAST NAME IS ‘CAN DO’

PRESIDENT TINUBU: NIGERIA’S FIRST NAME IS SPIRIT, THE LAST NAME IS ‘CAN DO’

By Bayo Onanuga    (Special Adviser to Pres. Tinubu on Information and Strategy)

(Flowerbudnews): President Bola Tinubu spoke Thursday night about the unquenchable spirit of Nigerians, their positive attitudes and self-belief that they can overcome all odds.

He spoke during Iftar in Abuja with members of the Nigerian business community.

Recounting his speech at the New York Stock Exchange when he visited in 2023, President Tinubu said Nigerians have the self-belief and determination to drive economic transformation from within.

”At the New York Stock Exchange, I appealed to foreign investors to consider Nigeria as a prime investment destination.

“At the end of my remarks, I told them we only want them to show their face and diversify Nigeria’s economy not as if we cannot do it ourselves.

“Tony Elumelu walked up to me and thanked me for making that statement. We can do it. Nigeria is a self-believer and can always deliver on its own. We know our first name and our last name. Our first name is: Spirit, and our last name is: Can do.”

Tinubu thanked members of the business community for their support and pledged to engage with them more frequently.

He said Nigeria’s economy is at a turning point and will require the steadfast support of the private sector for sustained growth and prosperity.

”I would have summoned you before now, not during Ramadan, because you are a very valuable part of my constituency.

”There is no driver of the economy that is bigger than the private sector. If the private sector is not flourishing, there is no growth, no prosperity, no employment or development. No matter how flowery the speeches are, not even a mushroom will grow.

”Thank you for persevering. We are at a turning point in our economy. I do not have to do a quadratic equation to illustrate all of that to you. I just want to appreciate you for your endurance and perseverance,’’ the President said.

“I have no reason to underperform as the elected President of the country because I campaigned for the job.

“I cannot complain about the job. I appreciate the gesture, and what you have told me this evening is very inspiring. Cut the costs. Fix the bends. Summon courage. Save the money, but push the economy. We will be there. There are some countries that have failed. There are some countries that have succeeded. In our time, in my time, all of us must work together to succeed. Thank you very much,’’ the President concluded.

In separate remarks at the Ramadan dinner, industrialists, bank executives, and entrepreneurs pledged their support towards the success of the administration’s economic programmes.

Mr. Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, who spoke first, assured the President that the Organized Private Sector (OPS) in the country is solidly behind him.
Other speakers were Allen Onyema, Air Peace chairman, Stella Okoli, CEO of Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Innocent Chukwuma, CEO of Innoson Motors, Tope Shonubi of the Sahara Group.

  • State Police Will Kill our Democracy – Okechukwu

State Police Will Kill our Democracy – Okechukwu

    By Flowerbudnews
The former Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mr Osita Okechukwu, has made it clearly with vivid reasons that “State Police will kill our nascent democracy”.

Okechukwu, a foundation member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), disclosed this on Sunday to journalists at the burial ceremony of late Chief Bona Udeh, erstwhile Chairman of Udi Local Government Area in Enugu State.

He said this while reacting to question posed by journalists that now majority of our 36 State Governors have in bipartisan manner endorsed the establishment of State Police.

The APC chieftain said that his lack of support for the establishment of State Police “is because of his elementary study of the antics of dictatorship”.

He noted that his elementary study of dictatorship makes him shiver each time he thinks of what will happen to democracy if governors who had since inception of 4th Republic in 1999, acted like emperors are empowered absolutely to kill democracy.

According to him, what salvation do we earn; when careful consideration gazetted that majority of our dear governors are more or less akin to Emperors, who are constantly in the breach of fine democratic tenets and civil liberties.

The APC chieftain also said that the governors had thwarted the local councils then working local government system and had blatantly mangled State Judiciary and State Legislatures into rubber stamps.

“My dear countrymen do; we in all intents and purposes make altruistic sense to further empower Emperors? Emperors hated alternative views, abhorred popular participation and rule of law throughout the history of man.

“Our dear governors in similar manner abhorred the rule of law and popular participation; this is why they had in same bipartisan manner opposed local government autonomy, independence of state judiciary and state legislatures,” he said.

Proffering workable security solution, Okechukwu noted that as a matter of urgent national importance at this trying period, the country needed well-trained, and well-equipped Special Constabulary Police in line Sections 105-109 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020.

The APC chieftain said that Special Constabulary Police should be equipped with sophisticated arsenal to contain kidnappers, terrorists and insurgents at the grassroots, without authoritarian antics.

He said the Special Constabulary Police he was advocating would be funded by Federal and State Governments, jointly recruited from indigenes of the given state in collaboration with the governors, albeit local community based with “tiny Federal strings” for necessary moderation.

“I appeal for understanding for Special Constabulary Police; as the Federal and State Governments will better fund the outfit; rather than authorising State Governors to transfer the burden of funding to our citizenry, majority of who trapped in multidimensional poverty.

“Whereas, one understood the metastasis of grief, helplessness, despair, despondency, and the sordid scenario of a country overwhelmed by insecurity, it will be less strategic in the midst of confusion to over tax our citizenry.

“And most importantly, also less strategic in hastily throwing away our democratic baby and the bathe water,” he added.

It will be recalled that the Director-General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mr Asishana Okauru, reported that 16 state governors had earlier thrown their weight behind the establishment of state police.

They supported floating of state police as a panacea for the insecurity ravaging the different parts of the country.

Also, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Communication, Mr Stanley Nwakocha, had earlier disclosed in a statement that discussions were held at 140th meeting of the National Economic Council on the matter.

Nwakocha noted that 16 out of the 36 states had already submitted their reports on the state policing initiative and that the remaining 20 governors were already in the process of submitting their reports.

“The official position of the forum is in favour of state police. I don’t know of any state that is not in support of state police,” he said.

  • Cleric advises Muslims to prioritise piety, religion in chosing spouses

Cleric advises Muslims to prioritise piety, religion in chosing spouses

    By Salisu Sani-Idris

An Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Shuaib Agbarere, has advised Muslims faithful to prioritise piety and religion in chosing their spouses.

Agbarere gave the advice at the weekly Ramadan lecture organised by the Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society in Abuja.

The topic of the lecture was, ” Preparing Our Children for Marriage: Islamic Approaches.”

He noted that ” it is important for Muslim to marry a woman who devotes to religious practices. If you marry a religious woman, you have married the most beautiful woman.

“If you marry a religious woman, you have married the most richest woman. Therefore, tell your children to prioritise piety and religion while going into marriage.

” Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said a woman is married for four reasons: for her wealth, her status, her beauty, and her religion.

” However, he (prophet Muhammad) advised that we should go for a religious woman.”

The cleric noted that all the socioeconomic and security challenges bedeviling the country could be addressed if the couple got right marriage.

“Allah says among His signs is that He created for you partners, your spouses so that you have peace in them.

“And Allah created among you love meaning that Allah has designed it in such a way that we cannot live single, we have to come into one another to have a community.”

He emphasised the need for parents to take the responsibility of educating their children about marriage.

” You are married that is why you have children and these children will marry but you don’t take them to any college for lecture or education to earn certificate about marriage.

” You only enrolled them in schools to earn certificates in sciences, law, philosophy. In fact, you will even tell them go and do your masters degree in a field of study.

” But you never have time to call them and say there is one field that is difficult that you cannot get to the end of it without experience.

” So, it is the experience you have that you will give them as a guide that will illuminate their paths,” Agbarere said.

The cleric, who also is a legal practitioner, urged prospective couple against marrying vagabond who doesn’t have a future.

“As parents, prepare your sons to be responsible not to allow their wives to be sustaining the marriage.

“Allah says men stand like pillar for women same way that Allah gives preference for some of you over others.

“Sadly, many husbands today are not responsible,” cleric said.

He warned men and women against secret marriage, saying ” some people will say we can do it secretly and you will be giving me children, say no, Islam doesn’t want that.

” Islam wants us to publicise marriage and say from today Mr and Mrs Rukayat and Abdullahi, they are now coming together as couple.

” Let us prepare our children for that so that they will know that marriage is not secretive, it is an open thing.

” So, when you do that, you know that you are now preparing for a better tomorrow of any nation,” the cleric said. (NAN)
