According to Okonjo-Iweala, “People are happy to see the symptoms being taken care of, punitive measure, you know it makes big headlines when people are hauled off to jail and the media blasts the story, which is good, there ought to be consequences and punitive actions but it’s not enough.

“If you don’t fix some of the root causes, the next set of people will come in, and with those opportunities, they might do the same thing.

“Part of the monies for the treasury are diverted to finance political campaigns. Is this right? The answer is no.”

  • Group demands women inclusivity in NDDC board composition

    Flowerbudnews

    By Aderogba George
Abuja,: Women for Justice and Integrity, a prominent advocacy group, has demanded for the inclusion of women in the recently constituted board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The demand is made in a statement by the spokesperson of the group, Mrs. Annabel Karibowei, and issued to newsmen in Abuja on Friday.

She expressed concern over the alleged
removal of a woman as chair of the board, only to be replaced by a man, which she said had further exacerbated the lack of gender diversity on the board.
Karibowei emphasized the importance of diversity and gender representation in decision-making bodies, while highlighting that women constituted a significant portion of the Nigerian population.

She said that women perspectives were vital in addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by the Niger Delta region.
She further said that the organisation worked tirelessly to ensure that the voices of women were heard and represented across various sectors of society.

“Gender inclusivity is not just a matter of principle; it is a necessity for effective governance and holistic development.
“Our nation thrives when all segments of society are adequately represented, and excluding women from such critical positions undermines the true potential of our nation.”
“Women for Justice and Integrity has been a staunch advocate for gender equality and equitable representation in various sectors.

“The organization has consistently championed women’s rights and their involvement in policy formulation and implementation,” she stressed.
Karibowei said that the demand underscored the need for transparent and fair processes in board appointments, and ensuring that merit and diversity were both given due consideration.

She called on government authorities to reevaluate the composition of the NDDC board and take proactive steps to rectify the gender imbalance.
She stated that removing woman from a leadership position and replacing her with a man sent a disheartening message to women across the nation.
According to her, the group expects that the least that can be done would have been to increase the representation of women on the board, not diminish it.

Karibowei said that Women for Justice and Integrity remained committed to fostering a society where all voices were heard, and every individual was given an equal opportunity to contribute to the development of the nation.

She said that the organization would continue to engage in constructive dialogue with relevant stakeholders and hopes for a swift and positive resolution to this matter. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng) /Flowerbudnews

Miss Africa, Precious Okoye, has called on governments of African countries to increase their support for female farmers, who contribute to food production and preservation.

Okoye made the call in Saki, Oyo State, during the implementation of her pet project on Agro-Industrialisation where she empowered more than 30 female farmers with 50kg bags of fertiliser.

She said in recognition of the contribution of these women to farming, her pet project was to encourage local female farmers to keep up with agriculture.

She explained that they contribute immensely to the growth of the economy by helping to produce and preserve food.

“I am pleading with the government and private sector across Nigeria and Africa to support me on this project as I am looking at carrying out this project in six geo-political zones and in Africa.

“It is to enable female farmers to be more productive, save them time and energy and also get the job done.

“These women are going through so much and usually farm with their bare hands and we can make their lives better and also create more job opportunities for them.”

“As we all know, Saki is known for farming for both males and females and this will boost the number of females that will go into farming if this kind of project is done yearly.

“We thank God for her life and her presence here will encourage other young girls to see her for the first time here, as Miss Africa in their domain.

“It will inspire them and make them work hard and aspire to be one in the future,” Oyebisi said.

  • Food For Thought: The Story of President Nixon’s Adviser –  Robert Greene

    The late American president
    “Nixon”,
He has an advisor named ••
    “Robert Greene”…
He obtained a doctorate in public law.
Then he obtained a doctorate in international law.
🩸 He then became president of the Harvard Society of International Law,
🩸And US President Nixon’s foreign affairs advisor,
And Deputy Director of the US National Security Council,
He is considered one of the leading political experts in America.
And founder of the Center for Civilization and Renewal in America,
    🩸He masters six living languages.

One day, American President Nixon wanted to read about Islam, so he asked the American intelligence to prepare a study for him on that subject, and they actually carried out his orders, but their research was somewhat long…
He asked his advisor, Robert Crane, to read the research and summarize it for him.

Indeed, Robert read the research, then went to attend Islamic seminars and lectures to learn more about the subject…
It was only a few days before the news of Robert Crane’s conversion to Islam spread throughout the entire United States of America…!

He called himself Farouk Abdel Haq…
He says about the reason for his conversion to Islam: As a student of law, I found in Islam all the laws that I studied…
Indeed, while I was studying at Harvard University for 3 years, I did not find the word “justice” in their laws.
    even once …
I found this word in Islam a lot…

He converted to Islam in 1981 AD and named himself (Farouk) after Al-Farouq Omar, may God be pleased with him, who was an imam of justice after the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace…

    – He says:
We were in a legal dialogue, and one of the Jewish law professors was with us. He started speaking and then began delving into Islam and Muslims. I wanted to silence him, so I asked him: Do you know the size of the inheritance law in the American Constitution?

He said: Yes, more than eight volumes.
    – so I told him:
If I brought you an inheritance law in no more than ten lines, would you believe that Islam is a true religion?

    – He said:
    This can’t be.
So I brought him the verses on inheritance from the Holy Qur’an and presented them to him.

He came to me after several days and said to me: It is not possible for a human mind to count all the kinship relationships with such comprehensiveness that does not forget anyone and then distribute the inheritance among them with such justice that does not oppress anyone…

Then this Jewish man converted to Islam. ..!
    Dr. Robert Crane (Farouk),
He is still alive, he is 91 years old.

Read it to learn that Islam is the greatest law on earth.

Oh God, bless us with Islam
